Jets Make Next Round of Training Camp Cuts (09/23/2026)

The Winnipeg Jets announced the following roster moves to bring their training camp roster from 46 players down to 34.

Scott Arniel mentioned over the past few days that he wanted to get the training camp roster down to one group before the team resumes skating on Thursday.

With the Manitoba Moose training camp beginning this past Monday, they utilized players on tryout agreements to fill gaps until they received players back from the Jets’ training camp.

There were 12 players reassigned to Manitoba, four of whom were released from professional tryout agreements, and eight of whom were loaned back to Manitoba.

Manitoba received the following players via loan:

• Goaltender Isaac Poulter
• Defenseman Alfons Freij
• Forward Colby Barlow
• Forward Kevin He
• Forward Jacob Julien
• Forward Fabian Wagner
• Forward Kieron Walton

Winnipeg released the following four players from PTOs, and they will be playing for Manitoba:

• Defenseman Lukas Gustafsson
• Defenseman Dysin Mayo
• Defenseman Ashton Sautner
• Forward Davis Burnside

This group being reassigned to the Moose is timely, as the Jets’ AHL affiliate is set to play a pair of preseason games in St. Paul, Minnesota, against the Iowa Wild.

The group of 34 players left at training camp leaves 11 players that Winnipeg has left to cut. The group remaining are:

Goaltenders: Thomas Milic, Domenic DiVincentiis, and Stuart Skinner

Defensemen: Dylan DeMelo, Isaak Phillips, Neal Pionk, Jack St. Ivany, Henry Thrun, Haydn Fleury, Mario Ferraro, Josh Morrissey, Dylan Samberg, Elias Salomonsson, Garrett Brown, and Tyrel Bauer

Forwards: Vladislav Namestnikov, Alex Iafallo, Gabriel Vilardi, Adam Lowry, Parker Ford, Isak Rosen, Brayden Yager, Morgan Barron, Cole Koepke, Danny Zhilkin, Mark Scheifele, Viggo Bjorck, Nino Niederreiter, Walker Duehr, Noah Gregor, Kyle Connor, Nikita Chibrikov, Cole Perfetti, and Brad Lambert.

This gives Winnipeg until September 28th, one day before the 2026-27 NHL regular season is set to open, to get their roster down to the 23-man limit.
