The Dallas Stars may be darlings with casual fans and oddsmakers to win the Stanley Cup this year, but John Buccigross isn't buying into the enthusiasm.
The longtime sportscaster and part-time chicken parm critic made a guest appearance on the "What Chaos!" show this week, and when asked about which team still standing would have the most chaotic Cup victory, he didn't show much love to the squad from the Lone Star State.
"Dallas is the most boring pick because people think they're going to win, and they probably have the least charisma right now," he said.

No charisma? That's a decent burn to the team that topped the 2022 and 2023 Stanley Cup winners to get to punch their ticket to the Western Conference Final.
Apparently, Matt Duchene's wild series-winning goal in double overtime against the Avs wasn't enough to wow ol' Bucci.

Not surprisingly, the team Buccigross does think would have the most chaotic Stanley Cup win is the Edmonton Oilers since they are, according to him, the biggest underdog. But really, that pick has everything to do with Connor McDavid.
"I've had this vision of him winning at Madison Square Garden," Buccigross continued. "To me, that's the ultimate dramatic play. For McDavid to win the Cup and to do it in New York City, the media capital of the world.
"For the sport and for the story, that's kind of what I envision."

For what it's worth, Edmonton isn't the biggest underdog — at least not at sportsbooks. That honor goes to the New York Rangers, whom DraftKings lists at +400 to hoist Lord Stanley's Mug. The Florida Panthers are the +215 favorites, followed by the Stars at +260 and the Oilers at +280.
We'll just have to see which team has more allure when the Stars and Oilers face off in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final on Thursday.
