Former NHL All-Star Keith Tkachuk is calling out his son Matthew Tkachuk, who is now just 2 wins from a second straight Stanley Cup win.

The stunning blockbuster trade between the Florida Panthers and Calgary Flames in the summer of 2022 could not have worked out better for the former.

Matthew Tkachuk, who the Panthers acquired for Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar, has helped Florida to 3 straight Stanley Cup Final appearances and has his eyes on a 2nd straight championship.

Meanwhile, the Flames have yet to return to the postseason since their most recent appearance in 2022.

Matthew is one of two sons of former NHL All-Star Keith Tkachuk to be playing in the NHL; the other being Ottawa Senators captain Brady Tkachuk.

Keith, who never won the Stanley Cup during his own playing days, once called out Matthew in a hilarious way, saying that he'd probably have gone after him on the ice if he were still playing.

He has that face you just want to punch. That to me is an effective player - a kid who's engaged. Does it go a little bit overboard sometimes? Yeah. But guys are going after him because he's engaged every game.

I'm sure if I played against him, I'd go after him, too.

Matthew, who never shies away from roughhousing and trash talking on the ice, continues to be a major part of the success enjoyed by the Panther since his arrival in South Florida in 2022.

He was also right in the middle of mixing it up against the Oilers in the 3rd period of Game 3 at Amerant Bank Arena.

Keith celebrated with Matthew during the Panthers' Stanley Cup win last year, and hopes to do so again this year.
