Kevin Labanc among Sharks players available for trade?
Kevin Labanc has been made available for trade, but will he get dealt? Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Labanc reportedly among Sharks players available for trade

The San Jose Sharks are ready to shake things up this summer.

According to The Athletic's Kevin Kurz, the Sharks are "open for business" on the trade front this summer, and Kevin Labanc is the most prominent name among the players potentially available.

Dylan Gambrell and Radim Simek have also reportedly been dangled as trade bait.

Kurz adds that the Sharks would like to make deals that involve established NHL players but are open to gaining more picks for the upcoming draft.

Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in March that the team would enter a "reset" after San Jose finished 26th in the NHL standings with a 21-28-7 record.

Labanc notched 28 points (12 goals, 16 assists) in 55 games last season for the Sharks. He posted a career-high 56 points during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 25-year-old has three more years left on his contract at $4.725 million per season.

Gambrell, a pending restricted free agent, has registered 23 points (10 goals, 13 assists) in 110 career games. Simek, meanwhile, has five goals and 19 assists in 129 career games. He has three years remaining on his contract at $2.25 million per season.
