Another week has passed and it’s time for another LA Kings weekly prospect update. This week’s prospect update was highlighted by a goalie who had a solid performance, but in a losing effort, that caught my attention. That player is Hampton Slukynsky.

Slukynsky made one start during the week, Western Michigan University’s only game, and made 32 saves on 35 shots faced as the Broncos, ranked 14th, fell to the number-two-ranked Boston College Eagles, 4-2.

For Slukynsky to have that performance against a team like Boston College is a good sign that he is doing fine adjusting to the NCAA, albeit for a short time. It’ll be interesting to track his progress as the season goes along.
