Another week has passed, and it’s time for another LA Kings‘ weekly prospect update. This week’s update was highlighted by the organization’s second-round draft pick from this past summer, Vojtěch Čihař.
Čihař, 18, recorded five points in three games for the Kelowna Rockets (WHL). Although he went scoreless in the first game of the week against the Victoria Royals, Čihař posted a two-assist night on Friday against the Kamloops Blazers and followed that up with his first WHL hat trick against the same opponent.

The 18-year-old forward has quickly climbed the ranks in the Kings’ prospect pool after his performance at the World Juniors two months ago. The speedy forward, known for his two-way play and energy, has 30 points (11 G, 19 A) in 29 games with Kelowna. He is projected as a middle-six forward.
With Kelowna hosting the Memorial Cup this season, Čihař will get valuable playoff experience as the team looks to go on a deep playoff run, capturing both the WHL championship and Memorial Cup.
