Leaked Footage Catches Sam Bennett Attempting to Injure Again in Game 4

Sam Bennett has been a menace this post-season against the Maple Leafs, and now, footage from Game 4 shows another intentional act to injury from the veteran.

The Florida Panthers haven't been afraid to play physical thus far in their series with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and while it's not all been dirty, it's hard to ignore the impact that Sam Bennett's questionable play has had on this matchup so far.

In Game 1, he faced backlash for hitting Anthony Stolarz, with the result being the veteran goaltender being stretchered out of the arena, and after several targeting incidents in the series since that point, footage has once again shown Bennett looking to injure Maple Leafs players.

In Game 4, Bennett was tied up with Oliver Ekman-Larsson near the net, and as a result, the veteran forward pushed the defenseman right into goaltender Joseph Woll, who could have been seriously hurt given the vulnerable position he found himself in.

While many on social media have no doubt defended the play from Bennett for being incidental, at this point, it's tough to write off so many examples of him intentionally targeting his opponents and looking to cause injury.

Sure, at this time of year things are incredibly physical all over the ice, but Bennett has taken it to another level in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season, and if the Maple Leafs don't do anything about it soon, things could get out of hand in a hurry.

It's usually up to the officials and the Department of Player Safety to do that, but after Bennett and Dmitry Kulikov have gone unpunished for their attempts to hurt their opponents in this series, they clearly haven't looked to protect the Maple Leafs, so don't be surprised to see them take things into their own hands in Game 5 as a result.
