Leon Draisaitl revealed why the Edmonton Oilers are far superior to the Toronto Maple Leafs in a press conference.

The Edmonton Oilers have won as many playoff rounds in the past three weeks as the Leafs have in the past 20 years. On paper, the Oilers aren't a much better team than the Leafs.

Toronto has many talented players in the lineup, and probably more depth than the Oilers have. They also have better goaltenders.

In a recent interview, Oilers' top forward Leon Draisaitl revealed why the Oilers can perform under pressure, while the Leafs have fallen short.

He stated that while he feels the high pressure that comes with playing in a Canadian market, he can deal with it-hinting that the Leafs haven't been able to handle the pressure over the past few years.

In his own words:

'Yeah, of course. I mean, the pressure is definitely higher here. It comes from the media, the fans, and the expectations-that's just the reality. This is a hockey country. Everything begins and ends with hockey here.

As for whether teams feel added pressure because of that, I'm not sure I'm the right person to answer. But we can handle it, and we're excited to get back out there and put our best foot forward.'

Also, Draisaitl opened up about often being on the last Canadian team standing, and how the rest of the country cheers for the Oilers-except some Flames or Leafs fans:

'I think, obviously, there are always going to be some Flames fans or Toronto fans who probably weren't cheering for us. But overall, I felt like a lot of Canada was behind us.'

Draisaitl and the Oilers will be back on the ice tomorrow evening against the Dallas Stars for the first game of the Western Conference Finals. Stay tuned for more.
