Luke Hughes is the youngest of the three Hughes brothers, and he just came off of an incredible season with the New Jersey Devils in which he had 47 points in 82 games.
This season, he was on the cover of EA Sports NHL 25. Unfortunately, he is now going to have to miss the next two months of action. This is now known thanks to an announcement from the New Jersey Devils earlier today. As you can see down below, they revealed that Hughes injured his left shoulder during an off-season workout. Thankfully, he will not need any surgery.
Regardless, this is still a disappointing update on the young star. Training camp is right around the corner and the Devils were hoping for Hughes to be part of it. Now, he will miss camp and he will certainly have to miss the start of the season. For now, it remains to be seen when he will be able to return.
We're sure Hughes is working hard with his rehab, and when he does come back, we can just imagine how good he will be. That said, he is 21 years old, and you have to give these young players some time.
