Winnipeg Jets defenseman Luke Schenn has been scratched several times against the Dallas Stars in Round 2, and is breaking his silence about it ahead of tonight's must-win Game 6.
While Winnipeg Jets defenseman Luke Schenn played in all 7 of his team's opening round series against the St. Louis Blues, he found himself being made a healthy scratch by head coach Scott Arniel on more than one occasion against the Dallas Stars.
After Josh Morrissey returned to the Jets for Game 2, Arniel skated Haydn Fleury and Colin Miller on the 3rd defensive pairing, leaving Schenn as the odd man out.
Schenn didn't play in either Game 2 or 3, the first of which was a 4-0 win but the second was a 5-2 loss. But he's choosing not to disclose the specifics that were discussed with Arniel about the logic behind his lineup decisions.
I'll keep that between us. There are some other things just going on behind the scenes. Different changes for different reasons. And at the end of the day, I'll keep what's going on behind closed doors.
The Jets trail the Stars 3-1 ahead of tonight's Game 6 in Winnipeg after losing both games at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Right now, Schenn appears to be in tonight's lineup based on the line combinations they skated with on Thursday morning.

In 9 games so far in the playoffs, Schenn has a lone assist. He was acquired by the Jets from the Pittsburgh Penguins at the Trade Deadline immediately after they picked him up in a trade from the Nashville Predators.
