The Utah Mammoth play in a big game tonight. The Minnesota Wild had taken the lead in the Central Division, and if Utah can defeat them, then the Mammoth will take the division lead right back.

Utah is coming off a thrilling overtime win against the Tampa Bay Lightning and is seeking a second straight.

Who: Utah Mammoth (8-4-0) vs. Minnesota Wild (8-3-2)
Where: ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney+.
When: Oct. 27, 7:00 p.m. MT

What does Utah need to do to win?

The Mammoth must contain the Wild's powerful offense. Kirill Kaprizov has been one of the NHL's best players. Kaprizov has scored 13 goals, and Quinn Hughes has also been excellent.

Hughes has scored four goals and added 13 assists so far, playing extremely well. The offense of the Wild will present quite the challenge for a Mammoth defense that hasn't played well at all through 12 games.

If Utah can limit the Wild's chances while also playing good defense, it can definitely win this game.

The Prediction:

Record Tracker (7-2)

The Mammoth will win this game. Utah wants to retake the Central Division early and will play well enough to take down Minnesota.

The Wild will play hard and try to win the game themselves, so this game will be a close one.

The final prediction is that Utah wins a high-scoring game, 5-4. For the Mammoth to compete for the division, they must win such games like this.

Hopefully, the Mammoth can prove to the NHL that Utah is for real tonight.
