Since the NHL got going, the Toronto Maple Leafs have been searching for different ways to improve the roster. After losing star forward Mitch Marner in free agency, the team now has a big hole in the middle of the rotation.

The Toronto front office has been scrambling to add talent, and they've done a decent job despite the circumstances around the team. But ahead of the new season, the Maple Leafs have desired to add another top-six forward to the mix.

The team has been linked with free agent forward Jack Roslovic, but nothing has come of an agreement yet. Toronto doesn't have the cap space needed to sign him, and it would take the front office making some movse ot land him.

Jack Roslovic Not Heading to Toronto?

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Maple Leafs do have interest in bringing Roslovic to town. However, they don't have room for him at this time and would need to make some changes across the roster to make it happen.

There had been rumors that Roslovic was waiting for the Maple Leafs to open up cap space, so he could join them. But that remains to be seen at this point.

However, the free agency of Roslovic remains very interesting, especially considering that he is coming off a strong season with the Carolina Hurricanes. Roslovic put up 22 goals and 17 assists with Carolina, appearing in 81 games for the team.

The veteran can make a big difference to any contending team, and the hope is that he lands with someone before the season gets fully going.
