Maple Leafs' Joe Thornton 'can't wait' to get back into lineup

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joe Thornton will make his much-anticipated return to the lineup on Monday against the Ottawa Senators.

The 41-year-old skated on the top line at Sunday's practice and admitted that he's excited to play after missing 10 games with a rib injury.

In five games this season, Thornton has two points (one goal, one assist). He scored his first goal as a Maple Leaf on Jan. 16 against the Senators.

Before signing with the Leafs, the 41-year-old played for the Boston Bruins for seven-and-a-half seasons before being traded to the San Jose Sharks, where he played for 15 years.

Toronto is currently first in the North Division with an 11-3-1 record and 23 points.
