The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking to take a commanding 3-1 series lead over the Florida Panthers in Game 4 of their playoff series. After winning the first two games at home, Toronto dropped Game 3 to the Panthers in overtime.

Toronto held a multiple-goal lead in Game 3, but the Panthers were able to storm back to get the win. But heading into Game 4, the Maple Leafs are focused on settling things down early again as they try to snatch a road win.

But ahead of Game 4, Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews didn't participate in the morning skate. However, Toronto has announced that he will indeed play in the crucial Game 4.

Matthews has scored two goals and eight assists for the Maple Leafs over nine playoff games this year. His presence on the ice is massive for this team, so having him available is crucial to their overall success.

During the regular season, Matthews scored 25 goals and 33 assists for the Maple Leafs. Matthews is one of the brightest stars in the NHL, and Toronto can't afford to have him miss time.

Heading into Game 4, the Maple Leafs are once again relying on backup Joseph Woll. Woll took over for starter Anthony Stolarz after he suffered a scary injury during Game 1.

Woll has been decent for the Maple Leafs, but they will need him to be better in Game 4. The goalie has allowed 11 goals on 84 shots in this series, doing just enough to allow the explosive Toronto attack to do damage.

Game 4 between these two teams is scheduled for Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
