Monday marks the final day of hockey action before the NHL hits the pause button for the holiday break.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will face the Winnipeg Jets in their final game before Christmas. Even though there are two more days before Santa Claus' arrival, it looks like a few Maple Leafs players are fully in the holiday spirit already.
Toronto enforcer Ryan Reaves took to social media to share a festive picture (h/t @Sportsnet) with fellow veteran forward Max Domi. Reaves and Domi — both donning toothless grins — can be seen as Santa and an elf, respectively, with a hilarious one-word caption.

The unusual spelling of "Christmas" refers to how Reaves and Domi would pronounce the word due to their lack of front teeth. Hockey players are known for losing a tooth, or several, due to the physical nature of the sport, so it's nice to see the Maple Leafs duo having fun with their gap-filled grins.
Having said that, there's a good chance that the pair and the rest of their Toronto teammates are on Santa's 'Nice' list this Christmas.
The Maple Leafs sit fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 21-11-2 record (44 points) ahead of Monday's clash with the Winnipeg Jets. Picking up the home win would help Craig Berube's team leapfrog the Florida Panthers for the Atlantic Division's top spot.
Although both play different roles for the Maple Leafs, Domi and Reaves have contributed to their team's success this season.
Domi has been solid in his second year in Toronto, tallying three goals and 11 points in 26 games. His play has only improved as the season has progressed, resulting in three goals and two assists in his last four outings.
Reaves has been more of an infrequent member of the Maple Leafs lineup, coming in and out of the mix as a healthy scratch. Although his lone assist through 24 appearances isn't anything special, the 37-year-old winger has still made his presence felt physically to the tune of 23 penalty minutes and 75 hits.
Interestingly enough, Domi and Reaves have fostered a bond when it comes to hilarious holiday hijinks.
Just before this year's Halloween, Domi donned an evil pumpkin mask to scare his Toronto teammates, including Reaves. The successful prank comes one year after the latter scared the former in 2023 when he dressed up as horror movie icon Michael Myers.
It's Christmas time, though, which means Domi and Reaves have set the scares aside for now. In the meantime, the Maple Leafs duo's attention is on defeating the Jets on Monday before spending time with their friends and families in the coming days.
