In the last Leafs home game before the trade deadline, there are several scouts checking out the game, including some with big-name players linked to the team.

As the Toronto Maple Leafs try to stretch their win streak to six games, they face the San Jose Sharks at home before heading on another brief road trip. It's the last game before the trade deadline and the team would love to start the week strong.

So with that deadline approaching, the team, and the NHL altogether, it's unsurprising that there are lots of eyes on teams as the days tick by. The Leafs/Sharks game is no different, as they had a total of 13 scouts taking a peek.

The wild part of the scouting trip is just how many the Detroit Red Wings have sent. Bringing along three scouts to a game is a pretty good indicator of a potential future deal as the more eyes to analyze, the better.

San Jose most likely going to make several deals; Toronto will try to

A lot of contenders are also out there taking a look at potential pieces like Ty Dellandrea, Luke Kunin, Mario Ferraro, Tyler Toffoli and Jake Walman, all who have been named as potential trade pieces in recent weeks.

The Sharks are dead last in the NHL and are clearly a few years away from contending, so the more pieces they can dish off for picks and prospects the better.

Kunin and Dellandrea could add a lot of grit and defense along with some scoring to a contender at a reasonable cost.

Walman and Ferraro are two reliable and steady second/third pairing defenders, and Tyler Toffoli brings a veteran leadership and a Stanley Cup winning acumen.

There's also some potential that a few teams are also taking a gander at the Maple Leafs as well, with St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Vancouver all in attendance as well.

Toronto has been attached at the hip to Brayden Schenn over the past several weeks and they'd love to reunite Schenn with former Blues coach Craig Berube.

Pittsburgh could sell on pieces like Noel Acciari and Anthony Beauvillier (not to mention potentially Erik Karlsson), and Vancouver's Carson Soucy could help the blue line.

Things are definitely heating up and with all eyes on the Sharks and Leafs (not to mention recently President Brendan Shanahan checking out both Easton Cowan and Ben Danford in action) and it might not be long before we see a deal come to fruition.

Get ready folks, Friday is almost here and it's gonna be a wild ride.
