Massive Update Emerges on Anthony Stolarz Ahead of Pivotal Game 5

Anthony Stolarz has been out since Game 1 of the Maple Leafs series with the Panthers, and while he's getting better, he won't be available for Game 5.

After getting past the Ottawa Senators in round one, the Toronto Maple Leafs started thier series with the Florida Panthers hot, but since the injury to Anthony Stolarz, things haven't been going quite as well.

The Leafs have been riding with Joseph Woll since Game 2 after the concussion issue with Anthony Stolarz, and since he took over the team are 1-2, with the series now sitting at 2-2 heading into Game 5 back in Toronto.

The hopes were that Stolarz could be healthy before then, but unfortunately, as of right now all signs point to him not being ready to return yet, although the latest update is certainly a positive one.

According to reports out of practice, Stolarz is back on the ice and is taking steps towards a return, but with his skate not taking place with the starting group, it's unlikely we see him active in a pivotal Game 5 of this series.

In three of the four games since taking over, Woll has a save percentage under .900, and even when he thrived in Game 4, the Maple Leafs offense went missing, so it's become very clear how much the former Panthers goaltender means to this team and their success.

Through seven games this post-season, Stolarz has a .901 save percentage and a 2.19 GAA, and if this team is to win the Stanley Cup, he'll need to be at full health, so no matter the outcome of Game 5, expect Stolarz to make a very strong push to be available for Game 6 in Florida.
