The San Jose Sharks are trading forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci to the Dallas Stars in exchange for two draft picks, including a first-round pick.
The Stars are adding some major reinforcement.

According to what the excellent insider Darren Dreger from TSN adds, the third-round pick in 2025 could become a fourth-round pick.
'1st and 4th which can turn into a 3rd round pick back to SJ for Ceci and Granlund.'
The condition attached to the third-round pick will depend on the Stars' performance in the playoffs.
Granlund, 32, has accumulated 45 points in 52 games this season, being the Sharks' leading scorer.
