Mitch Marner's future in Toronto is up in the air after their devastating loss, and now he's addressed that in the moments after the team were officially eliminated.

While the Toronto Maple Leafs gave it their all in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season, the team still weren't good enough to make it all the way, and now, they head into another summer following a heartbreaking end to their season.

This time however, it could be the end of the line for some key players in Toronto, as the likes of John Tavares and Mitch Marner are both set to be free agents after lengthy runs as members of the Maple Leafs.

In the moments following their loss, a reporter asked Marner about his future in Toronto, and given all that he's been through over his career and in this heartbreaking Game 7, it's safe to say that he wasn't in the mood to think about his future.

"I don't have any thoughts right now. Pretty devastated with what just happened."

Given the way he played in the post-season, most fans likely don't want Marner back after this season, and the Maple Leafs may feel the same way, as Darren Dreger is now reporting the team were once willing to give him $13.5 million, but with the fan backlash and his struggles, it may not be on the table anymore.

Ultimately, this was another tough end to a season in Toronto for Marner, the Core Four and the Maple Leafs, especially those loyal fans who had built up their belief in 2024/25, but after their performances in clutch games, we may have seen the last of No. 16 in Toronto as a Maple Leaf.
