The Montreal Canadiens face the Buffalo Sabres tonight with puck drop at 6:30 PM EST. The Canadiens ahead of tonight’s game recalled forward Owen Beck from Laval in the AHL. The Canadiens currently have three forwards dealing with injuries. Oliver Kapanen and Ivan Demidov are on injured reserve while Florian Xhekaj is day-to-day. Xhekaj left practice yesterday after missing Saturday’s game against Detroit. Xhekaj’s injury prompted the callup of Beck. Beck in four games at Laval has an assist and he’s a plus-one.
