
The Nashville Predators are acquiring forward Mavrik Bourque and defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2027 second-round draft pick and a 2028 third-round draft pick via Vegas. The move gives Dallas $12.5 million in cap space as they look to take another run at restricted free agent Jason Robertson. The Predators and Bourque are working on an extension, as he’s a restricted free agent who was expected to be an offer sheet candidate today.

Bourque, in 82 games this season, had 41 points on 20 goals and 21 assists. He was a plus-six with a power-play goal and a game-winning goal. In six playoff games, he had a goal and was a minus-one. Lyubushkin, in 53 games, had nine points on a goal and eight assists. He was a plus-one. He had an assist in the playoffs.
Bourque, over three seasons, has appeared in 156 games, recording 66 points on 31 goals and 35 assists. He’s a +12 with two power-play goals and two game-winning goals. In ten playoff games, he has a goal and is a minus-two. Lyubushkin, in eight seasons, has appeared in 486 games, recording 70 points on seven goals and 63 assists. He’s a -27 with a shorthanded goal and a game-winning goal. In 30 playoff games, he has eight assists and is a minus-four.
