The New York Rangers have signed 6'2' forward Taylor Raddysh to a new 2-year deal after he previously played this year with the Washington Capitals.

On the 2nd day of the NHL's free agency period , the New York Rangers have brought in a new face from a familiar foe, signing 6'2' forward Taylor Raddysh after he spent this year playing with the Washington Capitals.

Raddysh was signed to a 2-year contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $1.5 million.

Raddysh was the 58th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and would eventually make his NHL debut in 2021. Before his NHL career began, he spent several years playing with the OHL's Erie Otters before being traded to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.

His 1st goal in the NHL was shorthanded as part of a 3-2 OT win over the Boston Bruins, becoming the 5th player in Lightning history to accomplish the feat.

In March 2022, he was traded by the Lightning with Boris Katchouk and a pair of 1st round picks in 2023 and 2024 to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Brandon Hagel and a pair of 4th round draft picks.

Raddysh proved to be a valuable member of the Blackhawks in 2022-23, scoring a new career-best 20 goals. But his goal total dipped to just 5 in 2023-24, and was not offered a new contract by Chicago.

He then signed a 1-year, $1 million deal with the Capitals last summer and had 27 points (7G, 20A) in 80 games.

He has appeared in 305 NHL games and has 100 points (43G, 57A).
