Saville, 24, spent the previous three seasons in the Vegas Golden Knights organization but missed the entire 2024-25 campaign with an injury. The 2019 5th-round draft pick for Vegas played in 40 AHL and 33 ECHL games, but not an NHL game during his time in the organization. He posted a record of 7-12-1 along with a 3.27 GAA, .893 sv%, and one shutout (ironically against the Reign) in 22 games for the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) in the 2023-24 campaign; his last season before being sidelined with the injury.
With Dryden McKay signing an ECHL deal and Jacob Ingham still unsigned, Saville is most likely destined for the ECHL with the Greenville SwampRabbits and will provide depth as Erik Portillo and Pheonix Copley are expected to be the opening night tandem for Ontario.
