NHL announces 12 exhibition games, qualifiers schedule

Ahead of the 24-team NHL restart to crown a 2019-20 Stanley Cup champion that officially begins on Aug. 1, each club will play one exhibition warmup contest.

A tripleheader starts things off on July 28. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers will resume hockey's battle over Pennsylvania bragging rights under unique circumstances. Bubble site hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs will face the Montreal Canadiens. Western Conference hub hosts the Edmonton Oilers will take on the Calgary Flames in the nightcap.

Six more games will occur on July 29. A second tripleheader is scheduled for July 30.

Additionally, the NHL also announced the schedule for Aug. 1 Stanley Cup Qualifiers:
