The Vegas Golden Knights were able to grab a massive win on the road in Game 3 of their playoff series against the Edmonton Oilers. Vegas avoided going down 3-0 in the best-of-seven series, snatching a game from the jaws of defeat.

With the victory, the Golden Knights have guaranteed themselves at least one more game back at home this season. Vegas will host Game 5 in either a chance to break a 2-2 tie or in an attempt to avoid elimination.

The NHL has announced the start time for Game 5. Game 5 is now scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Grabbing Game 3 could completely change the trajectory of this series. Sometimes, all a team needs is to get one win, and then they can be off to the races.

Golden Knights defender Noah Hanifin opened up about this following the victory.

“It’s huge (win), now it’s a series,” Vegas defenseman Noah Hanifin said. “Now we have to regroup and come back (Monday) and bring the same effort again. It’s one game at a time, one day at a time. It’s a long series. They’re a good team over there, but so are we. We’re confident and staying patient and building our game as it goes along.”

The Golden Knights have been a battle-tested team all season long, and they showed some strong poise in this game. Vegas still has 15 players who were on the 2023 Stanley Cup championship team, and they will look to even the series in Game 4.
