NHL bets: Playoff push powers a pair of point props

We get our NHL week started with just two games, but there's no lack of playoff motivation on hand. It's that we follow with a pair of plus-money point props tonight.

Michael Bunting 1+ point (+112 FanDuel)

Pittsburgh is fighting for a playoff spot down the stretch and they're doing a damn good job of it, winners of four straight and six of their past seven. 

I'm liking the Penguins to keep the offense flowing here against a Toronto team allowing 3.6 goals per game at home over the last 45 days. Off that belief of goals, I'm drawn to this price on Michael Bunting to get involved.

Bunting is a former Leaf, and when he last came to Toronto (as a member of the Hurricanes), he scored a goal with three SOG on eight attempts. Love the extra layer of motivation for Bunting to get on the board against his former team, and it coincides beautifully with a ton of production.

The second-line winger has six points in his last three games. Sign me up at this price.

Conor Garland 1+ point (+105 ESPN BET)

I like Vancouver to find some goals here as well against a Vegas team that just allowed seven to Arizona on Friday. The Canucks have 3+ goals in seven of the past eight meetings with the Golden Knights, including just six days ago.

Garland has a point in two straight meetings with Vegas, and he has seven points in his last nine and eight points in his past nine at home.

Vancouver is looking to stave off Edmonton and maintain first place in the Pacific division, so I have no doubts as to their motivation levels tonight at home.
