NHL bets: Three prop plays for Tuesday, March 19

We have a packed hockey night to get through, and there are prop angles in nearly all on the day's slate. We've whittled our list down to three, all offering some solid prices relative to their roles in these matchups.

1u: Jake DeBrusk over 2.5 SOG (-102 FanDuel)

Senators vs. Bruins, 7 p.m. ET, NESN

Ottawa has allowed 33+ shots in five of their past six, with the lone game not hitting that mark against the Sharks, so I certainly expect Boston at home to find some shooting lanes here.

DeBrusk, on Boston's top line, leads the Bruins in 5v5 shots in their past five at home, and with the Senators allowing the eighth-most shots to wings over the past 10 games, I'd like to back the RW here.

DeBrusk has seven, four and four shots in his past three games on 20 total attempts, so yes, I'm likely also sprinkling on his 4+ in some capacity.

The winger has had some solid games against the Sens, piling up 4+ shots in four of his last five against Ottawa.

1u: Jonathan Marchessault over 3.5 SOG (+135 DraftKings)

Lightning vs. Golden Knights, 10 p.m. ET, BSSUN, SCRIPPS

Fresh off allowing 50 shots, targeting some SOG props against this Tampa defense seems prudent. The Lightning are allowing about 32 shots per game on the road over the past month and a half, and what really catches the eye is Tampa dealing with some penalty problems on the road: handing out 4.8 power-play opportunities per game over the past month as the visitors.

Marchessault is second on the team in 5v5 shots over their last five home games, and he also has seven PP shots in their last five home games, easily leading the team.

Factor in that Tampa is a solid target for wings and Marchessault has twice gone for 6+ shots in the last three meetings, and I'll take a chance on his SOG prop at this price tonight.

.75u: Ryan Hartman over 2.5 SOG & point (+159 ESPN)

Wild vs. Ducks, 10 p.m. ET, ESPN+

Ryan Hartman just hit this exact combo this past Thursday against Anaheim, finishing with five SOG and an assist. Now they play again, and the Ducks propensity to allow opposing top lines to score against them has remained, as has their vulnerability to the center position.

Well, that's still Hartman here, centering Minnesota's top line with Joel Eriksson Ek on the mend.

Hartman has 12 SOG on 24 attempts in his past three games and a point in three of his last four. I'm hoping for the exact same type of performance he just put on against the Ducks, albeit with the locations swapped.
