We have a ton of afternoon hockey today, and little time to waste. We definitely like quite a bit today, but in the spirit of delivering you plays with enough time to get them in, here are two for this afternoon.
Oilers at Coyotes, Feb. 19, 4 p.m. ET
I think Edmonton is going to absolutely dismantle Arizona later today. They've scored 5+ goals in five of the past six meetings, Arizona is allowing north of four goals per game over their last 10, and the Coyotes have a quick turnaround after playing Colorado last night.
I'm quite surprised to see Corey Perry's point at such a great price for this afternoon, considering he's skating on a line with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl these days. There aren't many better situations for a player to get involved than with those two, and Perry has already been capitalizing, recording three points in the two games since he was elevated to Edmonton's top line.
With the expectation of plenty of Oilers goals, here's to Perry staying involved in the fun.
Maple Leafs at Blues, Feb. 19, 1 p.m. ET
I love Toronto to log plenty of shots on goal here, and that belief of course extends to the St. Louis netminder's saves prop.
The Maple Leafs are averaging 32.9 shots on goal per game on the road over the past 45 days, and the Blues are allowing 32.1 shots at home in the same stretch.
Toronto also tends to get plenty of pucks on net when they face off against St. Louis, averaging 34.2 shots per game over their past five meetings.
Hofer is in net today, and he's hit this number in four straight starts and three of his last four on home ice.
