If fans thought the nearly seven hours of the World Series were a lot to take in on Monday night, NHL fans are in for a lot more sports action as the NHL’s Frozen Frenzy returns — a 16-game spectacle featuring all 32 teams and nearly eight straight hours of action. Meanwhile, Sidney Crosby had a big night, and Evgeni Malkin is turning back time. Finally, who should fans watch on Tuesday?

Crosby’s Historic Night

Sidney Crosby continues to reach milestones and turn back the clock. The 38-year-old Penguins captain reached the 1,700-point milestone Monday night, becoming just the ninth player in NHL history to do so.

Crosby (7-7—14 in 10 GP) also set a new franchise record with 498 multi-point games, surpassing Mario Lemieux. He’s now just 22 points shy of tying Lemieux’s all-time Penguins scoring record.

His playing partner, Evgeni Malkin, is also having a season, with 13 assists and tied for the NHL lead in points with 16.

Frozen Frenzy Returns

Tuesday night marks the third official Frozen Frenzy — an NHL showcase where all 32 teams hit the ice to play games. Tuesday’s games are as follows:

Penguins at Flyers (6 p.m. ET, ESPN, SN1)
The Battle of Pennsylvania kicks things off as Sidney Crosby’s red-hot Penguins face the scrappy Flyers in an early Metro showdown.

Flames at Maple Leafs (6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, TSN4)
Toronto’s inconsistency meets Calgary’s chaos — and if the Flames pull off an upset, things could get messy in Leafs Nation.

Two Cup contenders clash. Vegas continues to rediscover its championship form while Carolina looks to steady its game.

Blue Jackets at Sabres (6:45 p.m. ET, ESPN+)
Someone’s got to climb out of the Metro basement — and Buffalo’s young core might just be heating up.

Ducks at Panthers (7 p.m. ET, ESPN+)
Anaheim’s fun-but-flawed youth faces the defending champs, still dangerous despite key injuries.

Islanders at Bruins (7:15 p.m. ET, ESPN+)
Boston keeps rolling as Isles rookie Matthew Schaefer draws another big-stage test in a defensive battle.

Lightning at Predators (7:45 p.m. ET, ESPN+)
Nashville tries to stop Tampa’s momentum — and former captain Ryan McDonagh faces his old team.

Red Wings at Blues (8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN+)
Detroit’s offense has cooled, and a trip to St. Louis won’t be easy for a team still searching for consistency.

Jets at Wild (8 p.m. ET, ESPN+, TSN3)
Central rivals square off in a game that could mean more down the stretch than it does now.

Capitals at Stars (8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Ovechkin chases 900 goals in Dallas against a deep, disciplined Stars squad. Must-watch.

Senators at Blackhawks (8:45 p.m. ET, ESPN+, TSN5, RDS2)
Connor Bedard and Frank Nazar headline a matchup of exciting rebuilds.

Devils at Avalanche (9 p.m. ET, ESPN+)
Sunday’s thriller gets a sequel — Hughes vs. MacKinnon in what feels like an early Cup preview.

Mammoth at Oilers (9:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+/SN1)
Can Edmonton prove it’s still elite against the surprise Western risers from Utah?

Rangers at Canucks (10 p.m. ET, ESPN+, SN360)
A potential Finals preview — Pettersson, Miller, and Hughes meet Panarin and Shesterkin in Vancouver.

Canadiens at Kraken (10:30 p.m. ET, ESPN+, TSN2, RDS)
Ivan Demidov’s breakout tour continues against a Seattle team still searching for rhythm.

Kings at Sharks (11 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Macklin Celebrini closes out the night — and the rookie phenom makes it worth staying up for.

Stars to Watch

The lineup of talent is elite: Alex Ovechkin is one goal shy of 900 and could become the first player ever to hit that milestone when his Capitals face the Stars. Connor McDavid and the Oilers aim to snap Utah’s seven-game win streak, while Macklin Celebrini, fresh off being named First Star of the Week, returns home to face the Kings after a 10-point road trip.

Elsewhere, John Tavares chases his 500th career goal, Jack Hughes looks to extend New Jersey’s win streak to nine, and Kirill Kaprizov continues his push toward 200 goals.

Tuesday’s marathon of hockey is shaping up to be one of the most exciting nights of the NHL season. Oh, and there’s Game 4 of the World Series to watch…
