Daily Goal Horn Power Rankings Breakdown

Calgary Flames: It’s hard to find a better team in the NHL right now. A 10-1-1 February has catapulted the Flames into first in the Pacific and a lock for a playoff spot. New addition Tyler Toffoli is fitting right in as well.

Carolina Hurricanes: They may be the best team in the NHL with the way they play. Fast and aggressive they can be just too much for teams to handle. They are 6-2-2 this month and starting to put a firm hold on first in the Metro.

Colorado Avalanche: The Avs continue to roll with a 7-2-1 record in February. This high powered offense is humming and living up to the preseason predictions as Stanley Cup favorites.

Pittsburgh Penguins: They were the hottest team in hockey for awhile. They hit a bump in the road this month but still managed to go 6-3-1 and jump the Rangers for second place.

St. Louis Blues: The 2019 Stanley Cup Champs are looking like a dangerous playoff team again. They made a big move to crack the ranking last month and appear here to stay. The Blues went 6-1-1 in February.

Tampa Bay Lightning: The Lightning are who they are: the 2X Defending Stanley Cup Champions. They’re holding steady at 6th on the list after winning 5 of 6 this month.

Toronto Maple Leafs: The Leafs are hanging in the top 10 after going 6-4-1 in February. With the trade deadline looming it will be interesting to see what they do.

New York Rangers: The Rangers dropped this month after going 4-2-1. However, as long as Igor Shesterkin is healthy they’re likely to remain in the top 10. If they can land some help at the trade deadline, they could even move up.

Boston Bruins: Here come the Bruins. Led by the goaltending of Jeremy Swayman they moved up a notch. Boston went 6-3-1 this month and you can’t discount this veteran squad.

Florida Panthers: The Panthers dropped the most since January thanks to a 3-4-0 February. However, a blip on the screen isn’t enough to take them off the list.
