2025-2026 Season Series: Anaheim 0-2 Vancouver

Time: 10 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) | 7 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)

How to Watch: Sportsnet+, SNP, KCOP-13, Victory+, ESPN+, NHL Centre Ice

The Vancouver Canucks take on the Anaheim Ducks as two California teams visit Vancouver to end their eight-game home stand. Anaheim sits at 39-27-4 after 70 games, with 82 points, while Vancouver sits at 21-40-8 after 69 games, with 50 points. This is the third of four meetings between these two teams. Vancouver beat Anaheim in their last meeting, 2-0, on January 29th.

The Ducks Story

Anaheim looks poised to take the Pacific Division title as they have opened up a four-point lead at the top of the division. They handed the surging Buffalo Sabres a rare loss in their last matchup on Sunday in overtime. While they have had their successes as of late, they still remain in 29th place in the league in goals against per game, at 3.46. They should be a joy to watch for their fans, as each of their games will likely be high-event and entertaining. Cutter Gauthier is leading the offensive charge with ten goals in 12 games since March 1st, and also leads his team with 36 goals on the season.

The Canucks Story

Vancouver was officially mathematically eliminated from Stanley Cup Playoff contention over the weekend, so they are just playing out the string. Now is the time for them to play their young players and build some chemistry. In Monday’s practice, head coach Adam Foote prioritized forechecking as the key to improvement, as they were too passive in their previous game. He noted that the Ducks are a rush team, so being able to take advantage of pinching defencemen could be their key to success.

Starting Goalies

Below are the projected starters for tonight’s game. Please check social media for the most updated information before locking in your daily fantasy lineups.

Anaheim will likely start Lukas Dostal in the net. He has the sixth-most starts in the NHL this season with 47. He has a 28-15-3 record, a 3.01 goals-against average, and an .893 save percentage.

For Vancouver, Nikita Tolopilo should get the start. In 15 games this season, he has a 5-6-2 record, a 3.34 goals-against average, and an .892 save percentage.

Prediction and Best Bets

Anaheim has the explosive firepower needed to overwhelm the Canucks’ defence. Although they may fall victim to transition plays from the Canucks, they should be able to out-score their issues, as they have done a lot of that this season.

Prediction: Ducks win 5-3.

Best Bets

To wrap things up, here are our anytime goal scorer picks. For Anaheim, we will pick Cutter Gauthier to score a goal. On the Canucks side, we will pick Marco Rossi, who has ten points in his last five games, to pot one.
