As the trade rumors swirl around the Vancouver Canucks, there’s one player that has been mentioned in them that isn’t particularly worried.

Brock Boeser told the media that his name being in rumors was brought to his attention, he said “it’s getting old.”

Boeser, 24, only has 8 points in 17 games this season and was mentioned last season in rumors that management squashed.

NHL Rumors: Boeser not concerned

“I personally don’t think I’m going to get traded,” Boeser said via the Athletic. “I feel like I’m part of the core here and a big piece. That’s just how I feel.”

His agent Ben Hankinson was asked about it as well and shares the same sentiments.

This has been a crazy week for the Canucks as fans are asking for changes to be made. The team that continues to flounder a point out last place in the Pacific division.

On Elliotte Friedman’s latest 32 Thoughts Podcast, he and co-host Jeff Marek said that things in Vancouver were fairly chaotic.

“You’ve got agents calling the team to figure out who is getting moved, who are they shopping,” Friedman said. “[The Canucks] are aware that this is the time you make the deal that hurts you for a decade. But you can’t help but feel like something is coming.”

So it appears that Hankinson probably received some reassuring words from GM Jim Benning on the situation. Boeser remains on our Trade Bait Tracker for the time being.

Latest on Vladimir Tarsenko

Speaking of the Trade Bait Tracker, Vladimir Tarasenko remains the #1 target. The biggest question many are asking is if Tarasenko would be willing to stay with the Blues?

This season, the 29 year-old has 16 points in 19 games in St. Louis. The Blues are also fighting for first place in the Central Division and things are clicking.

According to Jeremy Rutherford, who covers the Blues for the Athletic, he indicates Tarasenko’s trade demand still stands. The other big issue is his trade value, which seems to have improved but not enough for the Blues to move him.

The Blues have seemed inclined to keep Tarasenko since his trade request likely because his value to the club exceeds what he could bring back. But has his production this season increased interest? A few sources around the league feel that it has, but perhaps it’s still not enough for Blues general manager Doug Armstrong to consider moving Tarasenko before the trade deadline on March 21 — or even next summer.

the Athletic

Tarasenko has one more year left on his deal worth $7.5M AAV.
