Wes Crosby: Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas on a potential contract extension for Sidney Crosby or Erik Karlsson: “They’re not eligible until July 1, so it’s not something that’s been at the front of their mind.”

Dubas added that Crosby is in a little bit of different category and they’ll talk in the summer and fall. They are happy with both players.

The Wild could use more scoring in their top six. They don’t have a ton of cap space to work with as Kirill Kaprizov‘s cap number almost doubles from $9 millio to $17 million.

Max Bultman of The Athletic: Detroit Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman said they need to get more five-on-five scoring and become harder to play against. Most of the defensemen are under contract for next season, so they’ll likely be looking to add up front.
