There was never a doubt the NHL would pull out all the stops with the All-Star game taking place in Las Vegas this year. They've officially taken things to the next level with the announcement that two events as part of the skills competition will take place outside.

ESPN's Greg Wyshynski reported Monday the Discover NHL Fountain Face-Off will actually take place among the fountains outside of the Bellagio Hotel. Players participating will reportedly be boated to the center of the fountain and shoot pucks into targets placed in the water.
Due to the hotel's prime location on the Strip, a portion of Las Vegas Boulevard will be shut down for the event.
There is also expected to be an event featuring oversized blackjack cards.

The rest of the events in the skills competition -- such as the usual "Fastest Skater" and goalie-based "Save Streak" -- are slated to take place at T-Mobile Arena, home of the Vegas Golden Knights.
All events for the NHL All-Star skills competition will take place on Friday, with the All-Star Game scheduled to take place on Saturday.
