The Winnipeg Jets may be riding a three-game winning streak, but it’s not all good news coming out of the team these days.
Head coach Scott Arniel revealed Wednesday that defensemen Neal Pionk, Hadyn Fleury, and Colin Miller are all week-to-week with injuries. Defenseman Elias Salomonsson will be recalled from the AHL’s Manitoba Moose.

Elias Salomonsson will be recalled.
The nature of Pionk’s injury is currently undisclosed, but he missed last Friday’s 5-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings with a foot injury. Pionk, 30, played in Winnipeg’s last two games, so it’s possible he either reaggravated the foot injury or suffered something unrelated. The Omaha, Nebraska native has two goals and six assists for eight points in 40 games this year, while averaging just under 23 minutes of ice time.
Fleury, 29, was placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury after crashing into the boards in Winnipeg’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on January 6th. The Carlyle, Saskatchewan native missed significant time earlier this season with a concussion, as well. In just 17 games played so far, he has yet to register a point while averaging just under 14 minutes of ice time.
Miller, 33, suffered a lower-body injury in Sunday’s 4-3 win over the New Jersey Devils. The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native has been a frequent healthy scratch for the Jets this season, as he has just an assist in 15 games played so far, while averaging just under 14 minutes of ice time.
Salomonsson, 21, was Winnipeg’s second-round pick from the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He has played four games for the Jets this season, but has not recorded a point. In 25 games for Manitoba, he has a goal and seven assists for eight points.
Winnipeg will travel to play the Minnesota Wild on Thursday before returning home to host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday.
