A hilarious moment occurred in last night's Oilers-Stars Game 1, as Corey Perry mocked Stars rookie Lian Bichsel when he refused to fight after the final whistle.

Even in defeat, Corey Perry has been a steady contributor in the playoffs, with five goals and seven points in 12 games. Game 1 wasn't his best, though, as a third-period penalty he was assessed eventually led to the Stars' tying goal.

The Edmonton Oilers may have lost Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars, but Corey Perry hasn't lost his flair for the dramatic.

With 227 playoff games under his belt, Perry knows full well that a series is not won in Game 1. The loss stings, but the Oilers have battled adversity all season.

Edmonton blew a 3-1 lead in the third period by giving up five goals

Edmonton was in command with a 3-1 lead after two periods, only to see it come apart. Dallas tallied five straight goals, three on the power play in the first 10 minutes, on the way to a 6-3 victory.

The meltdown reached a boiling point with fights bursting into several scrums at the final buzzer.

As anticipated, Perry was dead in the middle of it. He tried to engage in fisticuffs with Stars rookie Lian Bichsel, but the 21-year-old simply decided to turtle up and protect himself. Perry jibed at him in hilarious fashion as officials jumped in.

This is not Perry's initial stir in the postseason. In last year's playoff game against Vancouver, he playfully pushed his stick on Brock Boeser's head during a volatile melee to discourage him from joining the fray.

The Oilers will attempt to bounce back in Game 2 on Friday evening before the series continues on to Edmonton for Games 3 and 4.
