The Blackhawks came out firing and built a three-goal lead thanks to tallies from Jason Dickinson, Sam Lafferty, and Reese Johnson. The Central Division foes went back and forth on the game's next four goals, but Max Domi's late third-period tally sealed a 5-3 Blackhawks win.
Stauber made 29 saves on 32 shots to claim victory in his first taste of the NHL.
Kirby Dach , the No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, was born on January 21, 2001. Dach took the fast track to the NHL and scored 59 points (19 goals, 40 assists) in 152 regular-season games with the Blackhawks. He added six points (one goal, five assists) in nine playoff games. The rebuilding Blackhawks moved on from Dach by trading him to the Montreal Canadiens for two draft picks on July 7, 2022.
