1961: Glenn Hall Ties Goalie Ironman Record

On January 24, 1960, Blackhawks' netminder Glenn Hall appeared in his 328th straight game, tying a record for NHL goalies.

Hall made 33 saves on 36 shots but unfortunately picked up a loss as the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Blackhawks 3-2. However, Hall's display of durability deserves recognition.

2013: Marian Hossa Plays Overtime Hero

On January 24, 2013, the Blackhawks improved to 4-0 on the season with an overtime win over the Dallas Stars.

The Stars jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Loui Eriksson and Ray Whitney. Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews lit the lamp to even things up, but the game required extra time.

At the 1:41 mark of overtime, Patrick Kane fed a pretty backhand pass to Marian Hossa, who fired home the game-winning goal.

2019: Blackhawks Trade for Dominik Kubalik

On January 24, 2019, the Blackhawks acquired the rights to forward Dominik Kubalik from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Kubalik joined the Blackhawks for the 2019-20 season and immediately provided a goal-scoring touch. He posted 46 points (30 goals, 16 assists) in 68 games during his rookie season, finishing third in Calder Trophy voting.

Kubalik played three seasons total with the Blackhawks and amassed 116 points (62 goals, 54 assists) in 202 regular-season games. He added eight points (four goals, four assists) in nine playoff games.
