Notable Blackhawks Birthdays

Dominik Hasek , a Hall of Fame NHL goalie, was born on January 29, 1965. Hasek was a 10th-round pick of the Blackhawks in the 1983 NHL Draft. The Czechoslovakian netminder played in just 25 regular-season games with the Blackhawks and posted a 13-4-2 record, .897 save percentage, and 2.58 goals-against average. Eric Daze, the Blackhawks' selection with that draft pick, enjoyed a solid 11-year career in Chicago, but Hasek went on to have a Hall of Fame career mostly with the Sabres and Detroit Red Wings.
