It’s an off day for the Ontario Reign, but the team announced some minor roster news this evening.

The Reign announced that the LA Kings have assigned Angus Booth, the organization’s fourth-round draft pick in 2022, to the Reign. Booth signed his entry-level contract with the Kings in December of 2023. He split time with the Shawinagin Cataractes and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the QMJHL.
The 20-year-old left-handed defenseman comes to the AHL after his junior hockey career ended with Drakkar getting swept by the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Booth registered 28 points (3G-25A) in 61 regular season games combined with the Cataractes and Drakkar. He also posted three assists in 17 playoff games with Drakkar.
The club announced he’ll wear number 24.
I don’t expect Booth to play any games barring drastic injuries to the Reign backend. Look for him to be a key contributor for the Reign in the 2024-25 season.
