After 17 professional seasons and 1,090 career AHL games, Sutter decided to hang up his skates and call it a career. In addition to his retirement, the Calgary Wranglers announced that Sutter will join their coaching staff as an assistant coach.
“So fortunate to have this opportunity to stay in the organization. Come back and help these kids that I care about so much.”

Before spending the past two seasons with the Wranglers, Sutter spent seven seasons with the Reign and was the captain for five. Now, he’ll be providing that leadership from behind the bench.
