The Ontario Reign had a strong November, going 9-3-0 after starting 1-4-0 in October. The top players like Charles Hudon, Jeff Malott, Samuel Fagemo, and Glenn Gawdin caught fire and had a big month. The big month for the Reign saw two players win awards. One won Player of the Week while the other won Player of the Month honors.
Goaltender Pheonix Copley took home Player of the Week with a record of 2-0-0, 0.50 GAA, a .981 save percentage, and one shutout. Copley has won his last four starts and has allowed two goals or less in the last three. He is the ninth player to win the Player of the Week award in Reign AHL history. It was a rough start for the 32-year-old netminder after returning from ACL surgery last December, but he’s started to find a rhythm and giving the Reign a chance to win.

This one was obvious. Glenn Gawdin secured Player of the Month, recording 21 points in 12 games (9G, 12A) and a +13 rating. Gawdin was by far the best player for the Reign and in the AHL in November by a wide margin. He’s been Mr. Everything for the Reign, playing five-on-five, taking key faceoffs, playing power play and penalty kill, and leading by example. Ontario’s 1C is second on the team in goals (9) and assists (13), first in points (22), and is currently fifth in AHL scoring and the Pacific Division’s second-best leading scorer. He is the fourth player in Reign AHL history to win this award.
On Gawd, he’s @TheAHL‘s Mr. November!
