The injuries continue to pile up for the Florida Panthers , as it appears they’ll be without Brad Marchand for a bit of time.
Paul Maurice says Brad Marchand going to visit doctors, he’s out tomorrow — and probably longer.

According to Panthers’ head coach Paul Maurice, Brad Marchand is visiting with doctors regarding an injury and will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings. Maurice also mentioned that Marchand will probably miss more time beyond Tuesday’s game, but that’s the only game he’s confirmed to miss for now.
Marchand missed the last 10 minutes of Friday’s 3-1 win over the Panthers, but there wasn’t a specific play that looked like it would be the cause of his injury. The injury is believed to be a lingering one related to the undisclosed injury which has kept him out of the lineup for 10 games at various points of the new year.
Marchand’s visit with the doctor opens up the possibility for surgery as an option to recover from the injury. If that’s the case, there’s a strong chance he will miss the rest of the season, but that has yet to be confirmed. With the Panthers currently 11 points outside of a playoff spot and unlikely to make it, it makes sense to get a head start on the surgery and rehab for next season if it’s required.
Marchand has been excellent for the Panthers this season, and one of the reasons they hung around in the playoffs for as long as they did despite all their injuries. He has 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points in 52 games this season, his first season performing above a point-per-game pace since 2021-22.
The Panthers currently sit in seventh in the Atlantic Division with a 31-29-3 record. They’ll look to build off of Friday’s win during their rematch with the Red Wings on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.
