A veteran winger has earned himself a new NHL deal.

On Tuesday, Florida Panthers general manager Bill Zito announced that the team has signed forward Noah Gregor to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2025-26 season.

Gregor was invited to the defending Stanley Cup champions’ training camp, signing a professional tryout to see if he could crack the roster. He scored a goal and an assist in five preseason games, finding the back of the net against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sept. 24.

Gregor has bounced around the NHL over the past couple of seasons. After spending the 2023-24 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Beaumont, Alb. native signed a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators prior to the 2024-25 campaign. At the trade deadline, he was part of the package that was sent to the San Jose Sharks for Fabian Zetterlund, Tristen Robins and a fourth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. In 52 total games last season, Gregor scored four goals and three assists for seven points, with just one assist in 12 games with San Jose.

It was a homecoming for the 27-year-old, as he was originally taken by the Sharks in the fourth round, 111th overall, of the 2016 NHL Draft. He spent the first seasons of his pro career with the organization, scoring a career-high eight goals and 15 assists for 23 points during the 2021-22 season.

In 295 NHL games, Gregor has compiled 36 goals and 34 assists for 70 points. In 44 American Hockey League appearances, he has notched 14 goals and 26 assists for 40 points.

Along with his pro career, Gregor has previously spent time on the international scene. Along with representing his country at the 2016 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship, he also brought home a silver medal with Canada at the 2022 IIHF Men’s World Championship.
