The Philadelphia Flyers got offense from Porter Martone and Dan Vladar stopped all 27 shots he faced to get the shutout in a 3-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins Monday night, giving the Flyers a 2-0 series lead in their first-round matchup.

Sidney Crosby still hasn’t found the scoresheet through the first two games and the Penguins have struggled to keep up with Philadelphia’s speed, led by young guns like Mortone, Trevor Zegras, Tyson Foerster and more.

Penguins’ head coach Dan Muse didn’t mince words when he spoke with reporters after the game.

“(We) should be frustrated, we just lost two games at home,” Muse said. “But with frustration it’s how are you going to respond. … Nobody is happy. Nobody should be.”

On Tuesday’s episode of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Tyler Yaremchuk and former NHL goaltender Carter Hutton discuss the Flyers’ two road wins, how the Pens have looked and what Pittsburgh will need to do to get back in the series as the two teams head to Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4.

Tyler Yaremchuk: I wasn’t willing to write off Pittsburgh after Game 1, and obviously I’m a lot closer to doing it after Game 2. They looked old and slow and a lot more like the Pittsburgh team we thought we’d see during the regular season.

It feels like the clock is striking midnight on the Penguins.

Carter Hutton: When it comes to the speed factor, that’s been the biggest storyline in this series. (The Penguins) seems slow, the Flyers are consistently on pucks, they’re throwing more bodychecks and they’re generating a lot more.

I don’t think the Pens are done, but right now it does not look good. The Flyers are absolutely rolling.
