☑️ Adam Fox (undisclosed) – out since Jan 5th.
☑️ Igor Shesterkin (lower-body) – out since Jan 5th.
☑️ Conor Sheary (lower-body) – out since Dec 31st. https://t.co/ugf5lEdXvZ
All three players missed considerable time prior to the Olympic break.
Shesterkin and Fox were both last in action on Jan. 5 against the Utah Mammoth. Shesterkin suffered a lower-body injury in the contest, forcing him to leave the game early. Fox played the entire game, but was put on long-term injured reserve the following day, with Shesterkin going on IR as well.
Shesterkin’s injury has certainly derailed any chance the Rangers had of making a run at the playoffs. Even with the veteran Jonathan Quick in net, the team has stumbled further down the Eastern Conference standings. In 34 games, Shesterkin has a record of 17-12-4 with a 2.45 goals-against average, a .913 save percentage and one shutout.
Fox’s injury came just three games into his return from another ailment that kept him out of action for a month. The 2021 Norris Trophy winner has played in just 30 of the team’s 57 games this season, scoring four goals and 24 assists for 28 points. He also has a plus/minus of +4 while averaging 23:34 of ice time.
In the 13 games the two have missed, the Blueshirts went a horrendous 2-11-0, losing the last four games prior to the league-wide pause.
Sheary suffered a lower-body injury in the Rangers’ New Year’s Eve game against the Washington Capitals. It has led the veteran winger to miss the past 15 games. He had been in and out of the lineup for most of the 2025-26 season, sitting as a healthy scratch for the struggling team. In 37 games, the Winchester, Mass. native has scored a goal and eight assists for nine points. He has a -4 rating while averaging 14:35 of ice time.
The Rangers (22-29-6) are last in the East, with the third-fewest points in the NHL.
