Renaud Lavoie has the latest scoop on the Patrik Laine situation

While appearing on BPM Sports, journalist Renaud Lavoie made a major statement involving Canadiens forward Patrik Laine. During his usual segment, he dropped the following update: "Now, it's certain that Patrik Laine will be back tonight."

Per Lavoie, Laine will be in uniform against the Seattle Kraken after being sidelined with flu-like symptoms.

This is likely to significantly change Martin St. Louis' line combinations.

Renaud has outright stated that it is "certain" that Patrik Laine will play Wednesday night.

This continues to raise questions about the real reasons for his absence in recent days, as some still believe it may have been a disguised "healthy scratch" for Laine. But in any case, it will be up to him to have a big game in Seattle and put all doubts to rest.

The Finnish forward has accumulated 24 points in 34 games this season, including 14 goals, but it's his defensive play and five-on-five performance that have been heavily criticized by experts.
