Retired NHL defenseman and new Hockey Hall of Famer Zdeno Chara once again demonstrated his top-notch physical condition by completing a famed triathlon in Slovakia.

Former Boston Bruins captain and Stanley Cup winner Zdeno Chara has a distinct love of fitness and continues to keep his body in top shape, even years after his retirement from the NHL, and shows zero signs of ever slowing down.

He's recently completed another another incredible personal physical milestone with the famed Oravaman Triathlon in Slovakia.

Another incredible accomplishment for Big Z! This weekend, Zdeno Chara ran the Oravaman Triathlon in Slovakia which includes a 2 km swim, 86 km on bike, and a 19.5 km run with 3100 m of elevation throughout!

Last year while interviewing with Men's Health magazine, Chara explained that he's grown fond in recent years of marathons, which resulted in his recent participation in the famed Boston Marathon.

There's so much that I've learned about myself - trying new sports, meeting new people. Everything that people say about running communities is true. Everyone has been so supportive and helpful and welcoming. Runners push each other to be better. It's a very normal thing to help a friend get ready for a race. I'll run with them for four weeks, five weeks to get them ready.

I just want to keep setting these goals and going after them. It's now about having fun and doing my best. I really enjoy it.

Chara led the Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup over the Vancouver Canucks, and at 6'9', he was the tallest player in NHL history to raise the Cup over his head.

He had 680 points (209G, 471A) in 1,680 NHL games.
