Sabres forward Jack Eichel reportedly 'willing to go anywhere to facilitate a trade'

Buffalo Sabres forward Jack Eichel is reportedly "willing to go anywhere to facilitate a trade," according to Nick Kypreos of Line Movement.

Several teams have told Kypreos a deal is doable as long as the Sabres are willing to add conditional clauses around how he performs after neck surgery.

Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams announced Thursday that Eichel had been stripped of his captaincy and failed his physical.

The 24-year-old failed his physical because of a dispute between himself and the franchise over how to handle the herniated disk in his neck. Several specialists encouraged artificial disc replacement surgery for the Eichel. However, the Sabres remain adamant that neck fusion surgery is the best option.

Eichel hinted at wanting out of Buffalo following the 2020-21 season, saying he would be willing to play for another franchise. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, Vegas Golden Knights, Minnesota Wild and New York Rangers remain interested in Eichel.

The Sabres drafted Eichel second overall in 2015. He has tallied 355 points (139 goals, 216 assists) in 375 games.
