Samuel Girard Traded To Pittsburgh Penguins

The Colorado Avalanche this morning has traded defenseman Samuel Girard and a 2028 second-round draft pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for defenseman Brett Kulak. Girard, this season, has 12 points in 40 games, with three goals and nine assists. He’s a +12 with a game-winning goal, 37 blocked shots, and 15 total hits. Kulak is now on his third team this season after being a part of the trade for Tristan Jarry from Edmonton. In 56 games this season, in total, he has nine points on goal and eight assists. He is a minus-five with 77 blocked shots and nine total hits. In 25 games with Pittsburgh since the trade, he has seven points on a goal and six assists. He is a plus-two with 39 blocked shots and five total hits.

Samuel Girard
